Job Description
  • Ensures Occupational Safety & Health Act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy are met by:
  • Following safe works practices and observing safety rules and precautions.
  • Check the works to be done by looking over the Log book.
  • Inform the Maintenance Manager Assistants of the tools and equipment needed.
  • Have a complete verification before an arrival in rooms.
  • Do repairs as per instructions of Maintenance Assistant Managers.

Repair wooden tables and partitions by:

  • Changing the damaged / spoiled woods.
  • Glue together the wooden partitions that have come off.
  • Scrape and polish the wood.
  • Glue and fix the legs of the table.
  • Re-varnish the wood.

Repair the doors and windows by:

  • Polish the door or window with the planning machine.
  • Detach the door/ windows if the planning does not get within reach of the area to be repaired.
  • Adjust the pommels.
  • Plane the pommels with sand-paper.
  • Fix back the pommels.
  • Apply greasy product in the hinges.

Do Plumber works:

  • Change the tap's garnish.
  • To make the garnish by the use of a joint if the spare part is not available.
  • Change the fitting in the shower or the sink.
  • Repair the handle of toilets.
  • Replace and repair parts in the toilet tank.
  • To unplug sinks, toilets, shower area.
  • To unplug discharge and blocked pipes.

Do Masonry works:

  • To rough-cast cracks on walls.
  • Re-fix the tiles in the lounge entrance, rooms and in the bathroom.
  • Place bricks for the pathways.

Do Painting:

  • Retouch of paint in the hotel premises where necessary.
  • Mix the paints to get the desired color.
  • Varnish wooden tables to remove stains.

Do Cleaning:

  • Do the cleaning of roofs as per established plan (Hotel, Villas, Golf and Quarters).
  • Clean the drains on request of Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Assistant Manager.
Qualifications

Qualification:

  • Middle or Secondary Education + Additional  training or certificates in the relevant field is a plus.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in hotel industry.
  • Proven experience working in a top luxury resorts is a plus.

Technical skills:

  • Solid experience with plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment.
  • Extremely organized.
  • Detail-orientated skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in English or another language, written and verbal communication.
  • Knowledge of a second language is a plus.
