Material Handler/Delivery Specialist

Bowhead seeks a Material Handler/Delivery Specialist to support the Advanced Technologies Division. The Material Handler/Delivery Specialist position provides maintenance of equipment and delivery of supplies and equipment. The ideal candidate has a working knowledge of warehouse and shipping and receiving operations, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The position requires on site work in both White Plains, MD and Dahlgren, VA.

Warehouse Operations
  • Conduct inventory, including receiving, storing, and tracking parts, materials, and equipment.
  • Conduct the organization/maintaining of warehouse spaces to ensure cleanliness and efficiency.
  • Conduct the fulfillment of orders by picking, packing, and preparation of items for shipment.
  • Conduct regular plant, property and equipment and OM&S inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify shortages.
Duties
  • Perform receipt inspection and acceptance; collect and record inspection data; document non-conformances and propose corrective actions.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment and warehouse tools.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in warehouse activities.
Qualifications

Minimum Education: Individual shall have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Minimum Experience: One (1) year working in warehouse operations including packing, shipping, manually loading or unloading items, and/or transporting or delivering goods.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting shipping and receiving documents and reports.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes and industry standards.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds regularly.
  • Frequent standing, bending, walking, and kneeling in warehouse and workshop environments.
  • Comfortable working in varying conditions, including temperature fluctuations and noise.
  • Manual dexterity for operating tools and equipment with precision.

Pay will be determined based on qualifications, education, etc.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for this contract.
