POSITION: Material Handler
SHIFT: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday (OT as needed)
PAY RATE: $25.00 - $29.50+ per hour (DOE) + Full Benefits Package
LOCATION: Blaine, MN
TrueNorth Steel is looking for a Material Handler to assist in the general handling, movement, and loading of steel at our Blaine site.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for the general handling of materials where applicable, using overhead cranes, forklifts, telehandlers, and other similar equipment. The handling of material may be associated with various areas, including unloading in-bound material, loading out-bound material or moving and distributing material to various operation areas for fabrication.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Follow all company safety and quality requirements.
  • Ability to efficiently and safely operate applicable equipment to unload, load and distribute material with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate with team members verbally and non-verbally.
  • Assist in prioritizing and coordinating daily activities.
  • Ability to work efficiently in all forms of weather (wind, heat, cold, rain, snow).
  • Willing to work flexible hours and overtime or weekends as needed.
  • Prompt and dependable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALITIES
  • Able to operate mobile cranes if site requirement.
  • Exhibit strong skills in material identification.
