Material Handler 1st Shift
Car-Freshner, Dewitt, IA
Making the famous Little Trees air fresheners here in the USA since 1952.
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 5:30 am to 4:00 pm Overtime may be required based on demand.
Salary: $18.25 per hour, increasing to $19.75 within 6 months.
Summary:
The Material Handler is responsible for performing various tasks which include picking work orders with the use of a RF Smart handheld device, ordering and maintaining inventory accurately as well as moving materials to and from machine centers.
Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate electric hand jack, stand up lift, to move product
  • Follow standard operating procedures (instructions & rules)
  • Look up supplies for jobs (JD Edwards)
  • Accurately stock, pick, pull, move and wrap pallets of raw, work-in-process and finished goods
  • Ensures inventory accuracy during movement of materials
  • Returns unused supplies from machine centers to designated areas
  • Maintain cleanliness of areas including disposing of trash and cardboard properly
  • Work effectively in a team environment
  • Assembles boxes
  • Picks work orders and maintains inventory at assigned machine centers using RF Smart

Skills and Requirements:
  • Able to lift up to 45 pounds
  • Able to stand for 10 hours
  • RF Smart experience preferred
  • Forklift training is provided by CAR-FRESHNER Corporation and the employee is responsible for attending and passing the classroom and hands-on training
