Compensation Overview:

The starting hourly wage for this role is $37.69

Shift Premium of $.75/hr on 2nd shift

Hourly Bonus Program

Work Schedule:

Flexible scheduling, 8-hour workday, 5-6 days a week, with possible overtime.

2nd Shift (3pm-11pm): Tuesday-Saturday

Employees must have weekend availability.

Employees may work weekends and holidays.

Job Overview:

Utilities Operators are responsible for the safe operation and routine maintenance of the plant's utility systems that support continuous production. Will be working with steam boilers, ammonia refrigeration equipment, air compressors, cooling towers, all HVAC equipment, and Freon systems.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Operate boilers, ammonia refrigeration system and compressed air system.

The safe and efficient operation of boilers, air conditioning compressors, condensers and all other equipment associated with the Utilities department.

Perform the duties of the Utilities department consistent with plant policy and standards with respect to product quality, GMPs and safety.

Monitor fire alarm panel, coordinate response team.

Ammonia evacuation.

Operate and maintain chilled water system.

Monitor chemical treatment for cooling towers and boiler water.

Preventive maintenance on all equipment associated with the Utilities department (i.e., air compressors, pumps, air handler filters, cooler equipment, air handlers, steam system).

Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair and reassemble all equipment associated with the Utilities department.

Ammonia, HVAC and all refrigeration controls.

Utilities stockroom.

Exhaust fans (building).

Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Position may include quality checks, including but not limited to, GMP, HACCP, and temp chart calibrations.

Know, understand, and comply with Kraft Food's Environmental Policy.

Reduce Kraft's Environmental footprint.

Qualifications:

Steam Boiler operation and refrigeration background a plus. Minimum of four years experience.

Must understand and have basic knowledge of the refrigeration and air conditioning cycle.

Thorough knowledge of boiler control instrumentation devices including pressure gauges and transmitting devices, flow meters, temperature gauges and transmitters, combustion control, feedwater control and safety

Devices.
License in Freon refrigeration repair a plus
Ability to gain freon refrigeration license for use on all window units, cabinet coolers, water fountains, and all main plant freon refrigeration units.

Must be able to pass a respirator fit test.
