As of Jul 27, 2026, the average hourly pay for handel in the United States is $26.34, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $15.14 and $30.77 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Handel position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Handel (German for 'trade' or 'commerce' professional), you should possess strong organizational skills, a background in business or commerce, and solid knowledge of supply chain or retail processes. Familiarity with inventory management software, point-of-sale (POS) systems, or enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools is often necessary, and relevant commercial certifications can be advantageous. Excellent communication, negotiation abilities, and customer service orientation help professionals excel in competitive sales or trading environments. These skills ensure effective operations, strong client relationships, and increased sales success within the fast-moving world of commerce.

Can you work at Handel's at 14?

Handel's, as an ice cream shop, typically requires employees to be at least 16 years old due to labor laws and the nature of the work. Some locations may have different age requirements, so it's best to check with the specific store or local regulations. Generally, entry-level positions like crew member often require a minimum age of 16 or older.

What jobs pay 700 a day?

For a role like a handler, such as a professional in logistics, security, or entertainment, earning $700 a day is possible with specialized skills, experience, and sometimes certification. High-paying positions often involve freelance, contract, or shift work in industries like event management, security, or transportation. These roles may require physical stamina, safety training, or technical knowledge to command such daily rates.

What are the typical daily tasks and responsibilities of someone working in Handel (commercial trade or retail)?

In a typical Handels role, you can expect to handle tasks like managing inventory, processing orders, communicating with suppliers or customers, and ensuring smooth shop or warehouse operations. Depending on the specific focus—whether wholesale, retail, or import/export—you may also be involved in negotiating deals, arranging logistics, and tracking sales performance. Collaboration is common with team members across sales, logistics, and management to achieve business goals and resolve operational challenges. These diverse responsibilities provide valuable learning opportunities and can serve as a springboard for advancement into supervisory or managerial positions within the commercial sector.

Why is Gen Z struggling to get jobs?

Gen Z job seekers often face challenges such as limited work experience, high competition, and employers' preference for candidates with specific skills or certifications. Additionally, economic factors and changing hiring practices can make it harder for younger applicants to secure positions, including entry-level roles like retail or service jobs.

What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

For a role like a handler, high-paying positions such as commercial truck drivers, real estate brokers, or sales managers can earn around $4,000 weekly without requiring a college degree, often relying on experience, licensing, or certifications. These jobs typically involve specialized skills, licenses, or strong sales abilities and may require long hours or physical work.

HANDEL'S HOMEMADE ICE CREAM in Clemson, SC.

Join the most exciting ice cream store in the world and be part of the tradition Alice Handel started in Youngstown, Ohio, back in 1945, where she began making homemade ice cream daily, using original methods and recipes. National Geographic calls Handel's "the best ice cream in the world," and we are still making it fresh daily, serving the communities we love so much, one scoop at a time.

  • Resourceful. Must be able to problem-solve and find positive resolutions to challenging questions, requests, and/or interactions.
  • Articulate. Must be able to describe, explain, and serve with a smile all menu items to guests. We offer 48 flavor options in stores but have 180+ recipes.
  • Patient. Balance a sense of urgency with being friendly, engaging, and navigating guests through the menu experience.
  • Capable. Must be able to operate a cash register/credit card/point of sale touchscreen and have adequate cash handling skills.

  • Energetic. Standing, walking, and/or moving for prolonged periods of time with full use of the hands and wrists is required.
  • Hard-Working. Be able to lift and move at least 25 lbs. and perform cleaning/sanitation tasks according to statewide industry standards.

We do our best to balance opening, closing, and mid-shifts for all team members so that everyone has a blend of several different day parts.
  • Honesty, fairness, and positivity. We are a fully transparent company and have open channels of communication and policies to make you the best team member you can possibly be. We will continue to do our best to set realistic expectations for staff and create a fun and positive company culture so that guests feel loved and come back to Handel's Homemade Ice Cream for years to come.
