Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in hand surgery to join a well-established practice in central Michigan. This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive, collaborative environment, focusing on advanced orthopedic care and patient satisfaction.

Position Highlights:

  • Specialization: Focus on diagnosing, treating, and surgically repairing conditions affecting the hand, wrist, and forearm.
  • Collaborative Team: Join a team of over 10 experienced surgeons with various subspecialties, including trauma, sports, pediatrics, hand (plastic surgery), and podiatry.
  • Comprehensive Care: Perform a wide range of surgical procedures while providing both pre-operative and post-operative care for hand patients.
  • On-Call Responsibilities: Participate in a general orthopedic call schedule with an average of four calls per month, ensuring quality patient care.
  • State-of-the-Art Facilities: Work with the latest technology, including advanced surgical systems, in a physician-led environment that fosters professional development.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Board Certification: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS).
  • Licensure: An active Michigan medical license is highly preferred, or candidates should be in the process of obtaining one.
  • Fellowship Training: Completion of a fellowship in Orthopedic Surgery focusing on the upper extremities is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years of work experience in Hand/Upper Extremity Orthopedic Surgery is preferred.
