  • Provide on-call coverage for general surgery, responding to emergency department and inpatient consults
  • Perform emergency surgical procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and trauma surgery
  • Round on assigned patients as needed
  • Document patient encounters in Cerner EMR
  • Maintain communication with nursing staff and referring physicians
