Randstad is seeking Sewers. These are permanent positions with full benefits! We are hiring on 3rd shift and weekend shifts.

The Hand Sewer plays a crucial role in the production of high-quality leather goods and upholstery in a factory setting. This position involves meticulous hand sewing, fabric cutting, and pattern assembly on a large assembly line team. The ideal candidate is skilled in various stitching techniques and dedicated to maintaining excellent tool condition, ensuring each product meets quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hand sewing on leather goods and upholstery items
  • Assemble patterns accurately following design specifications
  • Cut fabrics including leather, suede, synthetic materials, cotton, and linen
  • Inspect finished products for quality assurance
  • Apply appropriate stitching techniques to various materials
  • Maintain and care for sewing tools and equipment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in hand sewing
  • Strong manual dexterity
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a large assembly line team
