• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' histories and identify effective treatment modalities.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, tailored to each patient's unique history and resilience-building needs.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process trauma and develop effective coping mechanisms.
• Engage in collaborative treatment plans with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring integrated care and open communication.
• Offer crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, providing timely and empathetic responses.
• Educate patients and families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources to aid recovery.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring that patient information is securely managed.
• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance treatment efficacy.

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced trauma, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a diverse patient demographic, each bringing unique experiences and needs to the therapeutic process. An empathetic approach is essential, as the healing journey can be complex and requires a nuanced understanding of trauma's impact on mental health.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.
• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a nurturing and non-judgmental demeanor.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms.
• Ability to remain composed and effective in high-stress situations while maintaining patient trust.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling setting is preferred.
• Proven experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions to various patient populations.
• A track record of successful collaboration within multidisciplinary teams aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
