About the Role

The Global Technical Services Advisor serves as the global technical authority for Halliburton's DataSphere® Fiber portfolio within Completion Tools, providing advanced application expertise and technical leadership to engineering, field operations, business development, training, and customers worldwide.

This role bridges technology development and field execution by supporting the complete lifecycle of permanent fiber optic sensing solutions—from product development and qualification through field deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing technical support. Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering and commercial teams, the successful candidate ensures customers maximize the value of DataSphere® Fiber technologies while supporting product reliability, continuous improvement, and global knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the global technical subject matter expert for the DataSphere® Fiber portfolio, providing advanced application expertise to field operations, engineering, business development, training, and customers worldwide.
  • Provide technical leadership and lifecycle support for permanent fiber optic sensing technologies, including product development, qualification, field deployment, commissioning, troubleshooting, and product enhancements.
  • Support the integration of downhole fiber optic monitoring systems with surface interrogation hardware, optical measurement systems, communication networks, and data acquisition platforms.
  • Troubleshoot complex customer applications and provide technical recommendations to optimize system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop, review, and maintain technical documentation, operational manuals, engineering standards, knowledge base articles, and digital product support content.
  • Author and approve Technology Bulletins, product updates, required field actions, interim procedures, and other critical technical communications supporting global operations.
  • Support new product introductions by developing technical documentation, training materials, field support resources, and best practices for global deployment.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, reliability, and operations teams to resolve complex technical issues and drive continuous product improvement.
  • Mentor engineers and technical professionals while promoting technical excellence, knowledge sharing, and consistent application of best practices across the global organization.
  • Incorporate reliability engineering, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), and quality standards into all technical guidance, product documentation, and field support activities.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 13 years of experience supporting field operations, technology development, product development, or technical services within the energy industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of Completion Tools products, field operations, and customer applications.
  • Experience supporting fiber optic sensing technologies, including downhole systems, surface interrogation hardware, or optical measurement systems.
  • Experience developing technical documentation, engineering procedures, and customer-facing technical communications.
  • Strong technical communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to support global customers and multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred

  • Experience with fiber, distributed fiber optic sensing, and intelligent completion technologies.
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering, root cause analysis (RCA), and product lifecycle management.
  • Experience supporting global product deployments, technical training, or customer education programs.
  • Experience mentoring engineers or technical professionals.
