Job description

Heritage Hall is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing for our Leesburg, VA facility!
Job Description:
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) assists the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Nursing Services Department. They are responsible for maintaining a quality assurance program as well as overseeing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department.ย  The ADON may also perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.ย ย  This position is a member of Nursing Administration.
Position Requirements:
  • Must have ASNย or BSN degree from an accredited college
  • Must have an activeย RN license in the state of Virginia or be eligible to receive VA license
  • Five years of experience in skilled nursing environmentย 
  • Two years of supervisory or nursing administration experience is preferred
  • Previous ADON or skilled unit manager experience in long-term care
  • Ability to plan, organize, develop and implement programs
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing in a long-term care facility
