Classification: Part Time; Non-Exempt
Reports to: Director of Environmental Services
Supervisor Responsibilities: No
Location: 121 W. 154th St in Harvey, IL
Shift: Varies depending on the needs of the facility
  • Many opportunities for overtime; longer hours periodically based on organizational needs

Purpose: The Housekeeper maintains assigned areas according to established procedures.
Responsibilities:
  • High dust all main rooms and bathrooms
  • Sanitize and spot clean furniture, beds, walls, windows, ledges, doors, doorknobs, phones, water cooler, microwave, rails, miscellaneous items, etc.
  • Clean bathrooms including sinks, tubs, hoppers, toilets, shower walls, and walls around sinks
  • Restock paper supplies as needed
  • Empty and clean waste baskets
  • Dust mop and wet mop floors
  • Participates in quality improvement activities
  • Stripping, waxing and buffing floors.

Qualifications:
  • Floor tech experience required
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to pass criminal background check and drug testing
  • Experience working with various socioeconomic populations is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
