Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented CNC Lathe Operator to set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision components that meet customer specifications. This role focuses on efficient production, quality control, and adherence to safety standards in a manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
  • Set up and operate CNC lathes, including tool changes and offsets
  • Load raw materials and monitor machining processes during production runs
  • Measure and inspect parts using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure tolerance compliance
  • Make minor program edits and adjust machine offsets as needed
  • Identify and replace worn or damaged tooling
  • Maintain consistent production output while ensuring quality standards
  • Troubleshoot basic machining or tooling issues and escalate as needed
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Work collaboratively to meet production goals and deadlines


Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical or vocational training in machining preferred

Experience

  • 2–3 years of CNC lathe or turning experience preferred
  • Experience with CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, or similar)
