Salary: $115,000-$135,000 annually DOE

PLCs Plus International, is seeking a SCADA Developer/ PLC Programmer for the development of SCADA applications and PLC coding. This will include Control Room Human Machine Interface (HMI), Operator Interface Terminal (OIT), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), SCADA Historians, Databases, and Remote Alarm Systems. Refer to Desired Skills section for details.

Job Requirements
  • PLC Programmer/SCADA Developer Required Skills and Experience
  • SQL query scripting
  • Python
  • PLC Programming utilizing GE Proficy for GE VersaMax, 90-30, & RX3i
  • OIT application development for Rockwell utilizing FactoryTalkViewME
  • Calibration and testing of transmitters, switches, converters, recorders, indicators, actuated valves, and control loops back to PLC or DCS systems
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Oil and Gas experience is highly desirable
  • PLC programming for Rockwell Logix5000 & Logix500
  • SCADAPack programming experience
  • ROC800 programming experience
  • OIT Application development
  • HMI Development utilizing Wonderware System Platform (ArchestrA) 3.1 and lnTouch 10.1
  • Wired and wireless Industrial Communications solutions
  • Understanding of Electrical Design and Engineering
  • Design, inter-connection and configuration of PLCs, & DCS systems
  • Assisting in planning as required
  • Ensures that there is adequate data sheets and system documentation to complete all required pre-commissioning and commissioning checks and tests
  • Verifies all test equipment is NIST Traceable and has a current calibration date
  • Utilizes industry standards for testing such as ISA or another recognized and approved standard
  • Completes Red lines and B check sheets as required
Required Minimum Qualifications (Techs)
  • High School Diploma, or Equivalent
  • Valid Drivers License with clean driving record
  • Five (5) years experience as FCO/Commissioning Technician in oilfield, preferred
Required Education, Training and Certificates
  • H2S, or ability to obtain upon hire
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability and willingness to receive and follow direction
  • Ability to clearly communicate, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work safely, and recognize potential hazards
  • Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle
  • Ability to recognize and respond to dangerous situations or emergencies such as high voltage systems, electrical fires, loose hot wires, broken power lines, etc. This position will be working with 50 volts or less. No high voltage repair or firefighting is within job responsibilities
  • Ability to diagnose system malfunction, locate cause of breakdown and correct the problem or recommend solution
  • Ability to set and balance priorities in order to complete projects on time
  • Ability to make decisions and recommend appropriate course of action in difficult situations
  • Ability to handle stress and possess positive trait even in difficult or challenging situations
Automation / Commissioning Technician Specific Skillsets
  • Comprehensive knowledge of control systems, equipment, operational and mechanical systems including; installation, testing, maintenance, and repair
  • Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations
  • Working knowledge of AC and DC control circuits
