We have an immediate opening at the Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF) for a strong Data Engineer to participate in our Data Management Program. Data is one of our most valuable assets and we strive to become a more data-literate and data-driven organization. This position will work on a small, collaborative team that uses agile practices to deliver value to our business partners.

Required Skills:

  • Gathering requirements and developing technical specifications for ETL – 6 years
  • Using ETL tools to design ETL jobs (ETL 6 years, preferably 2 years of with Alteryx)
  • Developing various types of data loads (e.g. incremental, history/full, survivorship rules) – 6 years
  • Implementing change data capture (CDC) – 4 years
  • Testing and debugging ETL – 6 years
  • Developing complex SQL - 6 years
  • ETL job scheduling – 2 years
  • Loading data warehouses using ETL tools – 2 years
  • Management of multiple ETL tools
  • Experience with data quality tools and frameworks
  • Using source code version control software
  • Mentoring to others on ETL development
  • Managing multiple, concurrent projects and tasks
