Job description

Position Overview


We are seeking an experienced Concrete Estimator with a strong background in paving and flatwork across commercial, civil, and industrial markets.
This position focuses primarily on large-scale concrete projects including slipform paving, parking lots, streets, trails, heavy-duty slabs, structural flatwork, and industrial concrete placements.
We are looking for someone who understands production, placement methods, crew efficiency, and real-world field conditions — not just takeoffs.

Project Types Include
  • Commercial parking lots & developments

  • Slipform paving (roads, streets, trails)

  • Curb & gutter

  • Heavy-duty industrial slabs

  • Structural flatwork

  • Municipal & DOT concrete paving

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for all concrete scopes

  • Estimate labor, equipment, and production rates

  • Develop accurate and competitive bids

  • Solicit and level subcontractor & supplier pricing

  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports

  • Identify risk and develop contingency strategies

  • Assist with project handoff to operations

  • Track historical cost data and refine bidding strategy

Qualifications
  • 3+ years experience bidding concrete projects

  • Strong background in paving and flatwork

  • Experience bidding commercial, municipal, or industrial projects

  • Knowledge of concrete placement methods (slipform & hand-set)

  • Understanding of production rates and crew efficiency

  • Proficiency in estimating software (Agtek, HCSS, Bluebeam, Planswift, or similar)

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Field experience highly preferred

Compensation
  • Salary based on experience bidding concrete projects
