Position Requirements:
  • Demonstrate a genuine concern for the social, emotional, and physical well-being of children
  • Master Degree in School Counseling
  • Valid Indiana School Counseling License
  • Experience and Knowledge in Best Practices for School Counseling
  • Excellent Communication and Team Skills
  • Strong Organizational Skills

Performance Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive school counseling program around developing knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary for children to become healthy, competent, and confident learners.
  • Work with administration to develop a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Provide education, prevention, early identification and intervention, to assist their students in achieving academic success, developing an understanding of career opportunities and developing social/emotional skills in response to issues they face.
  • Provide direct services (school counseling core curriculum, individual student planning, responsive services), and indirect student services (consultation, collaboration, and referrals).
  • Collaborate with the elementary and middle school counselors in order to provide a comprehensive K-12 counseling program experience for students.
  • Collaborate with outside agencies to provide services to students.
