Job Description:
Guggenheim Retail Real Estate Partners (GRREP) is seeking is seeking a Legal Administrator or Paralegal to provide support for the internal legal team and project-specific deal teams.
The successful candidate will provide transactional support and legal assistance including administrative and clerical support to a growing internal legal team currently comprised of a General Counsel, a Senior Paralegal and a Legal Administrator. This role provides the opportunity to join a cohesive team focusing on real estate acquisition, leasing, development, construction and disposition.
This role is required to report on-site in our Frisco, TX office at least 5 days per week.
Essential Job Functions
  • General administrative support including Outlook calendar management and preparation of document packages for execution and delivery (in both paper format and DocuSign)
  • Assist in preparing legal notices and correspondence
  • Assist in real estate project tracking and deal coordination
  • Assist in facilitating real estate and finance closings
  • Assist in preparing contracts, leases, finance documents, corporate documents, correspondence and ancillary documents
  • Facilitate internal payment processes for contracts and outside counsel
  • Attend to post closing, property management and lease management items
  • Prepare and manage electronic and physical files
  • Assist on an as needed basis in answering phones and other general office duties
  • Attend project deal team, real estate committee, outside legal and other relevant meetings
  • Opportunity for a successful candidate with appropriate experience to conduct title and survey reviews, prepare contract summaries, critical dates memos and lease abstracts, and to draft contract amendments, non-disclosure agreements and other similar documents
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Completion of Paralegal education/certificate is preferred
  • A minimum of four years of administrative support, legal assistant, or paralegal work experience in a law office serving the real estate practice is preferred
  • Notary public license in Texas is preferred
  • Possesses a team-first, positive attitude, with a desire to learn and contribute
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to effectively interact with a wide range of constituencies
  • Possesses strong organizational and time management skills; prioritizes and manages multiple tasks and constituents concurrently
  • Possesses keen attention to detail and maintains confidentiality
  • Also possesses strong problem-solving skills; is proactive and able to adapt quickly and appropriately in accordance with the constant evolution of the company and industry

Basic Qualifications
  • Completion of High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required

  • Base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience.
