Job description

Upon polling our guests, we found that our main concern was that they might be forgotten. Our servers spend a great deal of time at the tables performing and taking care of our guests. Pre-bussing tables, refilling water glasses or coffee glasses, bussing and bringing guests fresh glasses of tea or soda are just some of the tasks performed by a service assistant. It is the Service Assistant's job to be at the right place at the right time to ensure the Perfect Night Out.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Establishes a professional, hospitable rapport with each guest.

Maintains positive guest relations and exceeds guests' expectations by promoting and reinforcing The Melting Pot culture.

Adheres to and maintains company policies and standards, complying with uniform standards, appearance and grooming best practices and federal, state and local laws and guidelines concerning alcoholic beverages and food safety.

Performs as part of the team, executing opening, running and closing sidework assignments.

Assists servers as necessary to improve the guests' experience, abiding by the "entire floor is your station" rule. Assists in the cleaning and maintenance of the entire restaurant.

Attends and participates in ongoing training sessions when provided.
