Job description

Room Attendants are responsible maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel and guest rooms and providing guests with quality service in a timely and friendly manner. Room Attendants represent the hotel to all guests and complete daily duties and assigned projects utilizing the principles, policies, and standards of Hulsing Hotels.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Have detailed knowledge of and comply with all housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Remove and replace bed linen daily for checked out rooms; remake and replace linen for stayover guests.
  • Clean room in its entirety including sweeping, vacuuming, and spot cleaning carpet as needed.
  • Dust all furniture and other elements of the room including picture frames; headboards; lamps; TV and console; dresser; desk; air vents; windowsills; chair; closet area; and mirrors.
  • After thoroughly cleaning the room, associate must leave the room as trained for inspection.
  • Associate must immediately turn in to the housekeeping manager any items that are left behind by the guest.
  • Associate must immediately inform the Executive Housekeeper or Room Inspector if you find that your room or any items have been damaged or if anything is unusual in your room.
  • In all guest interactions associate must always be professional, accommodating, helpful and friendly.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • High School Diploma or at least one (1) year of previous experience as a room attendant or another related field.
  • Previous hotel-related or customer service experience desired.
  • Must be team oriented, empathetic, friendly and show initiative.
  • Well organized and able to prioritize tasks.
