What we need:

We are seeking a Reconstruction Operations Managerย to oversee and manage all construction projects-ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires a strategic leader with strong operational discipline, deep restoration construction knowledge, and the ability to lead and inspire a diverse team. You will be accountable for performance across core and large-loss reconstruction, including operational execution, client/stakeholder outcomes, and departmental financial results. Class A or Class B Contractors License is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership & Execution

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of all reconstruction projects (core and large loss)
  • Direct daily operations and ensure effective scheduling, labor planning, and equipment management
  • Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Conduct site inspections and enforce compliance with IICRC, OSHA, and applicable building codes
Financial & Project Management
  • Own departmental P&L and gross margin performance
  • Develop and monitor budgets, costs, and change orders
  • Ensure subcontractor management and labor efficiency
  • Review and approve scopes and estimates using Xactimate (Dash/Albi experience is a plus)
Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as escalation point for clients, adjusters, insurers, consultants, and external partners
  • Manage and coordinate with all project stakeholders
  • Communicate proactively to prevent issues and resolve escalations professionally
  • Strengthen relationships that drive repeat and referral business
Team Leadership & Development
  • Recruit, train, lead, and develop a high-performing team (PMs, estimators, coordinators, technicians)
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance reviews
  • Lead safety/process/performance meetings and reinforce accountability
Compliance, Quality & Safety
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols; ensure OSHA compliance and strong field habits
  • Maintain 100% documentation compliance with internal and carrier requirements
  • Ensure all staff certifications/training are current
  • Oversee proper use and maintenance of equipment, tools, and PPE
Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes and procedures
  • Leverage industry standard software for resource management and project tracking

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a senior construction management role, preferably in restoration
  • Class A or Class B Contractors License is required
  • Proficiency in Xactimate and Dash/Albiware (or similar construction ops platform software system)
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and delegation skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Strategic thinker with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Compensation:

Guardian is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $90,000 to $100,000 + Bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
