Pure Paws Clinton Hill is hiring a full-time Practice Manager - a career accelerator role, not a traditional seat.

Pure Paws Clinton Hill is part of a growing three-hospital NYC network, and we're hiring an operator who wants to own the business, not just run the floor. With a Medical Director, Operations Director, and Nurse Manager already in place, you would the practice drive growth strategy: marketing, financial performance, client retention, and team development.

Schedule: Full-time, salaried position (approx. 40 hours per week). Typical schedule Monday through Friday, with occasional after-hours meetings and Saturdays. Flexibility and discretion in creating schedule.

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 per year, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications. Eligibility for up to 15% performance-based annual bonus.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

As a Practice Manager, you will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and leading a high-performing team in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. You'll work closely with Partner Doctors, the Medical Director, and the Operations Director to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and exceptional patient care.

Leadership & Operational Oversight

  • Lead daily operations with confidence and composure, even under pressure.
  • Directly responsible for scheduling veterinarians and CSRs, collaborating with Nurse Manager to appropriately schedule veterinary assistants and LVTs to maintain optimal coverage and workflow.
  • Collaborate with medical teams to uphold high standards of patient care and clinical efficiency.
  • Monitor patient flow and collaborate with Medical Director and Nurse Manager to implement strategies to reduce wait times and elevate the client experience.

Strategic Thinking & Initiative

  • Balance the needs of the business and staff with thoughtful decision-making.
  • Take initiative in identifying obstacles or opportunities, formulating solutions, and driving results independently and collaboratively.

Marketing & Growth

  • Design and execute marketing strategies to attract new clients and promote services.
  • Analyze performance metrics and financial reports to identify growth opportunities and operational improvements.

Client Service & Front Desk Operations

  • Ensure smooth front desk operations including auditing scheduling, check-in/check-out, client communications, and client service and retention protocols and initiatives.
  • Address client complaints with empathy and professionalism, turning challenges into opportunities for service recovery.

Client & Community Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and empathy.
  • Confidently handle demanding client interactions and resolve concerns with tact and clarity.
  • Develop client retention and outreach initiatives to boost engagement and loyalty.
  • Represent the hospital at community events and foster partnerships with local organizations and referral networks.

Personnel & Facility Management

  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of staff.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and team collaboration.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-equipped facility that reflects the hospital's commitment to excellence.

Financial & Administrative Duties

  • Oversee billing, insurance claims, and client account management.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring financial health and sustainability.
