  • Develop and manage detailed project timelines, budgets, and schedules.
  • Ensure alignment with company strategy and client expectations.

City Permitting & Compliance

  • Research, submit, and track all required city, county, or municipal permits.
  • Liaise with local planning departments to address requests or documentation needs.
  • Maintain full compliance with building codes, zoning laws, and other regulations.
  • Ensure timely submission and approval of all required forms.

Utility Applications & Interconnection

  • Coordinate with utility companies for interconnection and approval processes.
  • Submit, monitor, and follow up on utility applications to ensure timely approvals.
  • Resolve issues or delays during the utility review process.

Scheduling & Inspection Management

  • Schedule inspections with city and utility inspectors for all project phases.
  • Ensure that all documentation and permits are available during inspections.
  • Address any inspection-related issues quickly to avoid delays.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and partners.
  • Provide clear, consistent project updates and reports to all stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with utilities, local authorities, and vendors.

Budget, Resources & Risk Management

  • Monitor budgets to ensure projects remain within approved costs.
  • Allocate resources efficiently across labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks before they impact timelines or budgets.

Quality Control & Safety

  • Ensure all work complies with company, industry, and safety standards.
  • Oversee project execution for quality assurance and adherence to scope.
  • Guarantee that installations meet all inspection and safety requirements.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed records of permits, applications, inspections, and approvals.
  • Prepare regular progress and performance reports for management.
  • Document project changes or challenges affecting schedules or budgets.

Post-Installation Support

  • Oversee final inspections and project closeouts.
  • Facilitate client walkthroughs and address any final adjustments or questions.
  • Support post-installation activities, including warranties and service follow-up.

What You Bring

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of solar project management experience (residential or commercial).
  • Strong knowledge of permitting, utility interconnection, and inspection processes.
  • Proven track record managing multiple solar projects from start to finish.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and project management tools.
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar software preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and stay calm under pressure.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Education & Background

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
  • Bonus: Prior experience in estimating, permitting, or construction management.
