Job Overview

Gallaher Signature Living is seeking a part-time Dishwasher to join our Laurel Heights team.ย  In alignment with GSLโ€™s mission and values, Dishwashers are responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization, ensuring a safe and elegant dining experience for our residents and guests. All responsibilities must be completed in accordance with Company policies and procedures, current standards, guidelines, and regulations.

This position has an hourly range of $18.00-$21.50 per hour, depending on experience.ย ย 

Key Responsibilities
  • Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
  • Operate and maintain dishwashing machines according to safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, storage areas, and dish room
  • Assist with trash removal, recycling, and proper disposal procedures
  • Support culinary staff with basic cleaning and kitchen organization tasks
  • Follow all food safety, infection control, and sanitation regulations
  • Ensure a steady supply of clean dishware during meal service
  • Uphold community standards for cleanliness and professionalism

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous dishwasher or kitchen experience preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of proper sanitation and food safety practices (ServSafe a plus)
  • Able to read, write and speak the English language to interact and communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, physicians, health care professionals, residents, and their families.
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
  • Able to obtain and maintain valid First Aid, CPR, and Food Handlerโ€™s certification, as needed.
  • Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, test within 72 hours of start date.
