Compensation: The expected pay rate for this position is $29.00 - $31.00 per hour. The actual pay rate offered may vary on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience, knowledge, skills, certifications and/or location.

ADDITIONAL INCENTIVES

AS A GSE MECHANIC

You’ll maintain and repair various ground support equipment (GSE), including tow tractors, belt loaders, pushback tractors, deicers, and more. You’ll troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC systems and ensure proper documentation, safety, and quality standards are met. Position is based at Chicago-Midway Airport (MDW)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
  • Use Maintenance Information Systems (MIS) to document all repairs
  • Follow safety and regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA)
  • Participate in continuous improvement and training opportunities

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 1–4 years’ experience in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or HVAC systems
  • Diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment repair background
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and computer proficiency
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in all weather conditions
  • Must provide own hand tools
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be 18+, eligible to work in the U.S., and possess a valid driver’s license
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • English language proficiency

NICE TO HAVE CERTIFICATIONS

  • Med/Heavy Truck or Light Truck Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification preferred.
  • Universal HVAC certification preferred.
