Job Summary

The GSE Manager will be responsible for daily oversite management of onsite WFS mechanics, and location compliance of WFS Maintenance procedures for the location. Employee will complete or coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(Other duties may be assigned and are not limited to the following)

  • Troubleshoot on site to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, HVAC, and/or electrical discrepancies on various Ground Support Equipment (GSE) systems and subsystems.
  • Inspect, repair, and/or overhaul components, such as mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, HVAC, and hydraulic systems.
  • Disassemble components, inspect for quality factors, and reassemble to OEM specifications.
  • Strict adherence to all environmental safety and regulatory commissions, including (but not limited to) Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).   
  • Professional interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Other assignments as designated.
  • Oversite completion of administrative compliance regarding all company procedures
  • Oversite completion of all Preventative, routine, and non-routine GSE repairs
  • Mentor and train current and new WFS mechanics.
Minimum Requirements
  • Heavy equipment experience for consideration.
  • History in Airport Ground Support Equipment, or experience in heavy equipment in crane, oil field, mining rail, or maritime preferred
  • Experience in managing a team of mechanic or maintenance technicians.
  • Computer skills and be able to complete internal and on customer forms.
  • Expert knowledge of trouble shooting electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Willing to work weekends and possibly split days off
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Skills
  • Proficient in welding and fabricating.
  • Expert knowledge of can buss systems.
  • Expert knowledge of DEF systems.
  • Expert knowledge of EGR systems
  • Candidate must be proficient in welding and fabricating.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • Walk short distances.
  • Reach above and/or below shoulder.
  • Handle/grasp documents or office equipment.
  • Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time.
  • Lift/carry/move objects, files and documents up to 10 pounds.
  • Work in an office environment using standard office equipment.
  • Talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Work in a high noise-level environment.
