Job description

Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail oriented Inside Sales Representative to support and grow our government and commercial business. In this role, you will proactively engage with federal, state, local government, and commercial customers to identify opportunities, build relationships, and guide customers through procurement requirements, regulations, and purchasing processes.
This position is ideal for a motivated sales professional who excels at customer engagement, organization, and collaboration in a fast-paced inside sales environment.
This is an hourly position. $21.00-$24.00 Compensation within this range will be determined based on a combination of relevant experience and demonstrated skills aligned with the role requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Proactively sell office, janitorial, and packing supplies to federal, state, and local government agencies. businesses, and organizations.
  • Navigate federal, state, and local regulations and procurement processes to ensure compliance and successful sales transactions.
  • Accurately and efficiently process quote requests and orders using our sales management software, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and contracts.
  • Coordinate with outside sales representatives to align strategies and achieve overall sales goals.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating e-commerce website to ensure product information is current and accessible.
  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure satisfaction and retention of customers.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in business-to-government (B2G) & business-to-business (B2B) sales.
  • Understanding of government and public sector cooperative purchasing including, procurement processes, RFPs, and standard bid requests and GSA contracts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and others for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail, crucial for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Physical Requirements
Sedentary work -Occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects. Work involves sitting most of the time; walking and standing are required only occasionally.
