Job description

Driver Growth Representative

8Fleet is hiring! We are a rapidly growing LA-based technology and logistics startup building the operational infrastructure for both autonomous and non-autonomous rideshare fleets. With our anticipated growth, we are searching for driven, passionate team members to join our Driver Growth team. You will be involved in every aspect of how we bring new drivers onto the platform as we rapidly expand across Los Angeles and beyond, playing a direct role in driver growth as we scale.

We are seeking a Driver Growth Representative based in Los Angeles, with placement also possible in Atlanta, Miami, or Chicago to help drive company growth through high-volume, phone-based outreach to drivers.

You will spend most of your day on the phone, connecting with drivers who are unresponsive and helping move them through our driver activation funnel. This is a entry-level, high-energy role built for someone who thrives on live conversation and can manage their own daily execution with limited direct supervision.

Beyond outreach volume, you will help us find better ways to work: flagging process friction, testing what moves the needle, and contributing ideas that go beyond raw call counts. As the team and role scale, this position will grow to include participation in driver recruiting events, depot activities, and market-specific driver growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • High-Volume Outreach: Make at least 50 outbound calls per day using Nooks, our dialing platform.
  • Driver Activation: Connect with everyday drivers, including those who are busy or unresponsive, and move them through the driver activation funnel.
  • Process Improvement: Identify ways to improve outreach and onboarding processes rather than focusing on call volume alone.
  • Operational Handoffs: Support handoffs to depot staff, supervisors, and market managers as drivers move through activation.
  • Market Support: As the team scales, participate in recruiting events, depot activities, and market-specific driver growth initiatives.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with Driver Growth leadership, existing Driver Growth Associates, Operations, depot staff, supervisors, market managers, and the agentic workflow (Pleo) supporting the team.

Qualifications

  • Experience with, or strong aptitude for, high-volume phone outreach.
  • A social, outgoing communication style, with comfort speaking to people regularly throughout the day.
  • Self-starter behavior, with the ability to manage a remote or semi-remote workload with limited direct supervision.
  • Willingness to make at least 50 calls per day, consistently.
  • A process-improvement mindset and the ability to think beyond call-volume metrics to real outcomes.

Nice To Have

  • Sales or business development representative (BDR/SDR) experience.
  • Customer care experience.
  • Recruiting experience.
  • Psychology major or related academic background.
  • Current or prior rideshare/gig driver experience.
  • Driver supervisor experience.
  • Operations coordinator experience.

Compensation

  • Base Salary Range: $60,000 to $70,000.
  • Equity: None at this time.

Equal Opportunity Employer

8Fleet is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
