Job description

We are currently seeking a Scheduler in Atlanta, GA to join our Batson-Cook family.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Collaborate with Preconstruction group/project teams to develop schedules through each design phase.
  • Possess strong communication skills.
  • Assist project teams with documenting schedule delays.
  • Possess a strong background of construction experience/knowledge (on the jobsite experience preferred).
  • Visit or meet with jobsites weekly, bi-weekly or monthly to review schedule updates with project team.
  • Knowledge of all major types of construction market sectors (Multi family, high rise, healthcare, higher education, K- 12, senior living, office buildings, etc.).
  • Extensive experience with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project (MP) and ability to troubleshoot user issues. Experience with training new P6 and MP users (beginning to advanced training). Run P6 and MP schedule reports and analyze data.
  • Partner with project teams to develop detailed construction schedules, understanding that the project team maintains ultimate control of the schedule.
  • Experience with all phases of a project's life cycle (proposal, preconstruction, estimating, permitting, procurement, construction, closeout, as-built schedules, etc.).
  • Perform project schedule quality control - baseline comparison, logic, durations, changes, etc.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with project teams (integrity, honesty and trust) and tailor approach to meet individual needs.
  • Ability to recognize and analyze risk affecting costs, profit, schedule, safety, etc.
  • Develops schedule training modules and train employees on scheduling.
  • Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, employees).
  • Maintain relationship to ensure needs are met and problems/conflicts are resolved
  • Communicates and reinforces the Company vision, mission and values

Preferred Qualification:
  • Bachelors degree from a College or University and 3-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
