Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will be a part of the Aviation Design team based in Dallas or Houston, TX. The projects will be with major airports across the United States.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
Lead design efforts in some or all of the following areas:
  • Airfield geometry
  • Airfield pavement design
  • Airfield lighting and signage
  • Utility installation and relocation
  • Construction phasing
  • Airport access roads and security facilities
  • Landside transportation facilities
  • Prepare contract documents, specifications, reports, and detailed cost estimates
  • Construction administration

Assist with aviation group project management and business development:
  • Lead meetings and team members
  • Mentor team members
  • Project proposals
  • Technical reports, presentations and client communications
  • Task delivery, budget management and quality control
  • Supervise the work of junior team members
  • Make a positive contribution to the overall team culture and environment

What your experience looks like
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • 10+ years of experience
  • 7+ years of experience with aviation/Airfield related projects
  • Solid client relations and business development experience (preferred)
  • Proven Project Manager
  • Proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint, MSProject and InDesign. Photoshop & Illustrator a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of the regional market, drivers and trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write persuasively.
  • Experience with governmental forms required for proposal submissions.
  • Must display strong interpersonal skills and resourcefulness in accomplishing the firm's internal and external marketing objectives.
  • Must be a strategic thinker.
  • Must have the ability to travel 20% of the time.

The pay range for this role is $100,000 to $150,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
