Procurement Manager (Manufacturing / Packaging Environment)

Location: Beaver, West Virginia

 

The Role

We are seeking a Procurement Manager to lead and develop sourcing strategy across key categories, supporting operational performance, cost optimisation, and supplier partnerships within a dynamic industrial environment, with a particular focus on raw materials procurement within plastics and packaging (e.g. APET, rPET, PS, PP).

This role plays a critical part in ensuring cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and commercial value creation, working closely with Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Manage strategic sourcing activities across key categories (raw materials, packaging, services, etc.), including key polymer/raw material categories
  • Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management to deliver cost savings and value improvement
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and performance frameworks
  • Drive cost optimisation initiatives, including spend analysis and benchmarking
  • Ensure supply continuity and risk mitigation across the supply base
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to support business goals
  • Monitor commodity markets, price developments, and supply trends to inform sourcing and negotiation strategies
  • Support budget planning and cost forecasting activities
  • Manage and coordinate recycling, reprocessing, and waste streams (including external partners), supporting sustainability and circular economy initiatives

Your Profile

  • Strong experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Proven track record in supplier negotiation and cost management
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance cost, quality, and supply risk
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, operational environment
  • Strong analytical capability (spend analysis, market insights, cost modelling)
  • Experience with ERP/SAP and procurement systems
