We are seeking a Logistics Management Specialist,to lead the Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) for the U.S. Air Force 638 Supply Chain Management Group (SCMG). This project will provide logistics support services for the U.S. Air Force. This position is full-time, on-site at Robins Air Force Base (AFB), Georgia, working 40 hours per week between the hours of 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM; must be present between core hours: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays and base closure dates.

So, what will the Logistics Management Specialist at Terrestris do?

The Logistics Management Specialist will be a personnel position for the Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) for the U.S. Air Force 638 Supply Chain Management Group (SCMG) contract, advising on strategic sustainment acquisition phases of assigned systems, programs, or major equipment. This position leads the members and stakeholders in the implementation of the sourcing strategies utilizing the eight-step strategic sourcing process and continuous process improvements to streamline contractual efforts. The LMS conducts analyses on past, current and future performance and spend data to select the best overall strategy for the portfolio. This position is contingent upon contract award.

What does a typical day look like for a Logistics Management Specialist?

You will:

  • Plan, manage, and coordinate life cycle logistics support in strategic sustainment acquisition activities for the enterprise Supply Chain.
  • Develop, publish, and update supply chain strategies and associated implementation plans that support achievement of supply objectives through contractual, financial, and technical aspects of the acquisition life cycle.
  • Prepare presentations, papers, and other correspondence necessary to support logistics execution.

What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the professional we're looking for if you have:

  • A current Secret clearance is required.
  • Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in Air Force supply chain management, performing duties similar duties.
