JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse is experienced in nursing, with emphasis on community health education/experience. The RN is responsible for planning, organizing and directing home care services. The professional RN builds from the resources of the community to plan and direct services to meet the needs of individuals and families within their homes and communities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with current and unencumbered license to practice professional nursing in the state of employment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program, preferred.
  • One (1) to two (2) years of recent acute care experience in an institutional setting.
  • One (1) year of home health care experience, preferred.
  • Management experience not required, but direct supervisory experience of Licensed Vocational Nurses and Nurse Aides/Assistants, preferred.
  • Possess and maintain valid CPR certification. Must have obtained in-person with a practical skills evaluation as part of the final test.
  • Working knowledge of OASIS documentation requirements, preferred.
  • Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, basic math skills; nursing skills per competency checklist.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
