Account Manager – Small Group – Employee Benefits
Location: Hybrid in Ft. Collins

At Alera Group, our Employee Benefits team helps employers design, implement, and support programs that care for people and strengthen organizations. We’re seeking a Account Manager - Small Group who will provide direct support in system setup and day-to-day service requests, ensuring a seamless client experience and operational accuracy.

This position’s primary responsibility is to serve as the day-to-day expert on a book of business and the point of contact for clients while maintaining a high level of client and internal team satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES
What You’ll Do / Your ImpactClient Partnership & Risk Strategy
  • Support clients with coverage placement, renewals, claims coordination, policy analysis and day to day service needs
  • Collaborate with carriers, Producers and internal partners to deliver effective benefit solutions
  • Contribute to retention and growth initiatives through proactive and responsive client service
Operational Excellence
  • Maintain accurate documentation in agency management systems including policy information activities and correspondence
  • Ensure compliance with workflows internal policies and benefit program accuracy
  • Support audits reporting and renewal processes as needed
  • Assist in the RFP process including comparing carrier proposals and summarizing options for clients
  • Respond to client inquiries related to claims billing enrollment and benefit questions
Strategic Contribution
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance client benefit programs and improve service delivery
  • Partner with Producers and internal teams on onboarding new business and executing renewals
  • Remain current on carrier programs industry trends and regulatory changes
