Position: Property Maintenance Technician
The property maintenance technician will be responsible for daily upkeep and maintenance associated with I-80 Gold's 39-unit housing complex. The successful candidate will spend 90% of their time at the housing complex but must be able to work at the Ruby Hill mine site when necessary. The successful candidate must be a self-starter and able to work productively and safely in a single-worker environment. This role reports to Ruby Hill site management.
Location: Ruby Hill Mine: Eureka, Nevada
Responsibilities:
  • Interior and exterior painting
  • Dry wall repair
  • Minor plumbing installs and repair
  • Minor electrical work
  • Fence repairs
  • Power washing
  • Concrete repairs
  • Window screen and weather-stripping replacement/repair
  • Carpentry repairs and finish carpentry
  • Roof repairs
  • Groundskeeping/maintaining sprinkler systems
  • Winter snow and ice removal
  • Moving of company owned appliances/furniture
  • Installation, maintenance and minor repair of appliances and groundskeeping equipment
  • Changing out HVAC filters
  • Keeping vents and ductwork clean
  • Creating and maintaining a list/schedule of required property maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned to support i-80 Gold Corp.

Qualifications:
  • A maintenance background
  • Previous experience in the construction field preferred
  • Effective analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work/communicate successfully with site administration as well as the general public
  • Able to be fiscally responsible
  • Able to be on-call when emergency situations arise
  • Be available for weekly/monthly meetings with Ruby Hill site management
  • Able to work safely
  • Agreeable to use some of their own tools
  • Must be able to complete and maintain MSHA certification
  • Ability to occasionally walk on uneven outdoor terrain, lift and carry up to 50lbs, in varying climates and altitudes
