We are a family-owned cemetery seeking a dependable, hands-on Grounds Superintendent to lead and work alongside our small crew. This position plays an important role in maintaining our property with care, pride, and respect for the families we serve.
Responsibilities
Supervise and work daily with grounds staff
Perform mowing, trimming, edging, landscaping, and seasonal clean-up
Assist with grave layout, opening and closing, and marker setting
Operate and maintain mowers, tractors, backhoe, and hand tools
Maintain turf, trees, shrubs, and irrigation systems
Ensure grounds are clean, safe, and prepared for services
Train crew members and promote a safe work environment
Support funeral services as needed
Qualifications
3+ years of landscaping, turf, or grounds maintenance experience
Prior supervisory or crew lead experience preferred
Experience operating tractors and backhoe equipment
Valid drivers license required
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Professional, compassionate, and respectful demeanor
