We have offices in major markets throughout the United States. We are currently looking for an experienced night time operations agent to join a motivated, productive team at our Detroit, MI, office. Job Description:

The Night Time Operations Agent acts as the primary point of contact between customers and the companyโ€™s internal teams including logistics operations. This role is responsible for providing timely, accurate, and professional service to external and internal customers regarding shipments, scheduling, tracking, documentation, and issue resolution. The role provides crucial updates to other shifts and other stations through their daily turnover regarding any ongoing or pending issues.


Job responsibilities:

  • Track and trace ground and international air shipments, providing timely updates to customers and internal teams.
  • Bid on ground and air shipments via email and customer portals, adhering to specific requirements and rate guidelines.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via email and telephone in a professional and timely manner.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including data entry and document uploading.
  • Proactively identify and communicate potential delays or logistical issues to carriers, customers, and management.
  • Develop and implement solutions for operational challenges, such as equipment breakdowns, carrier miscommunications, or other issues affecting committed deadlines.
  • Provide comprehensive handovers to the morning shift regarding ongoing issues.
  • Coordinate timely inbound deliveries to the Platinum warehouse with local warehouse personnel; ensure freight is offloaded and organized by consignee, then reloaded for delivery in the metro Detroit and surrounding area according to schedule.
  • Assist other stations with critical loads, including charters and expedited shipments.
  • Support the operations team with additional tasks as required during the night shift; Other duties as necessary and requested by management


Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; associate or bachelorโ€™s degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred
  • 1โ€“3 years of experience in customer service, logistics, or transportation.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service processes and procedures
  • Understanding of freight documentation (bills of lading, proof of delivery, packing lists, manifests, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Reliability, consistency, and excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including email and web portals.
