  • This job is a member of the Plant/Ground Service Equipment Base Maintenance Team within the Integrated Operations Division.
  • Responisible for leading a team of crew chiefs and mechanics responsible for daily GSE Maintenance Operations in their stations.
  • This job will also interact with identified union leaders to resolve work group matters.

What you'll do
  • Supervises and leads the Plant/Ground Support Equipment maintenance workload, resources and activities for GSE workgroups at all GSE shop locations in the station
  • Administers and coordinates the activities of assigned work group(s) in support of policies, goals and objectives established by the GSE station, Manager, Senior Manager, Director or Managing Director
  • Ensures continuing safety, compliance, dependability and reliability
  • Ensures harmonious working relationship with union workforce and understanding / application of union contractual language
  • Prioritizes and administers inspections and maintenance programs, recommending any revisions needed to provide mechanical performance and reliability of ground equipment
  • Understands and applies all standards, policies and procedures for Company ground equipment
  • Ensures technical documents are complied with on Company ground equipment
  • Performs any additional duties and responsibilities as assigned in order to achieve department and Company objectives

All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
  • High School diploma or GED equivalency
  • Automotive, GSE or Heavy equipment operations experience in production along with parts procurement as a supervisor or lead mechanic
  • 1 year experience supervising and/or directing workgroups preferably in a union environment

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
  • Ground support equipment (GSE) mechanical experience

Skills, Licenses & Certifications
  • Ability to train, guide, and motivate employees
  • Knowledge of all aspects of ground support equipment (GSE) Maintenance operation
  • Abiltiy to handle multiple projects concurrently
  • Knowledge of PCs and proficiency of software applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA) if applicable
  • Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable
