Job description

Pure Ground Ingredients (Carson City, NV) is a spice and botanical manufacturer and is looking for a Quality Control Technician. The Quality Control Technician provides support to the Quality Department through collecting and analyzing samples, and performing and documenting facility checks.
Job Duties:
    • Collecting product samples, sending samples out for testing or to customers, and performing in house analysis
    • Maintaining and organizing samples and incoming material paperwork
    • Perform sanitation inspections on equipment
    • Perform calibration checks on equipment
    • Communicate with other departments on quality related concerns
    • Practice and adhere to the established standard operating procedures and policies
    • Adhere to regulations on food safety, food quality, and good manufacturing practices
    • Identify and report food safety and quality issues (non conformances/out of specification product)
    • Work with management to maintain food safety and food quality, and communicate any related concerns
    • Complete paperwork and sampling in a timely manner
    • General filing for Quality Department
    • Ensure required documentation is filled out clearly and accurately, following good documentation practices
    • Review test results and assist with generating certificate of analysis on released batches
    • Assist with recording and tracking test result data
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area
    • Dress out in company supplied PPE as required in designated areas
    • Perform other duties as needed

Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED • Experience working in a food manufacturing facility or experience in quality preferred • Perform basic math functions: add, subtract, multiply, divide, percentages, fractions • Computer literate using Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook • Work in a fast paced team environment Pass pre-employment screening
