Traveling Superintendent – Ground-Up Retail & Commercial (National Travel)

Lead field execution for ground-up retail, grocery, fuel/convenience, automotive, restaurant, and multi-tenant commercial projects across the United States. Serve as the primary on-site leader from mobilization through final turnover, overseeing subcontractors, schedules, safety, quality, and day-to-day field operations.

What You'll Do

  • Lead day-to-day field operations on ground-up commercial construction projects from mobilization through final completion.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to maintain production, sequencing, and schedule performance.
  • Manage site logistics, material deliveries, equipment tracking, and daily work plans to consistently hit critical project milestones.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, engineers, inspectors, architects, and owners to resolve field challenges and ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA erosion control, and company safety requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, productivity, and field performance while proactively addressing schedule risks and field issues.
  • Oversee punch list completion, final inspections, and project turnover.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience leading ground-up commercial construction projects as a Superintendent.
  • Proven track record delivering projects including large-format retail, grocery, fuel/convenience stores, auto dealerships, restaurants, and multi-tenant retail developments.
  • Current OSHA Competent Person, EPA Erosion Control, and First Aid/CPR certifications required.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction means, methods, sequencing, and field operations.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage subcontractors, schedules, and multiple stakeholders.
  • 100% travel required. Work performed on active commercial job sites across the United States.
  • Valid driver's license required.
