Redefine Meals is a rapidly growing meal prep and retail food company dedicated to providing high-quality prepared meals and grocery products to our customers. With 27 locations and a centralized warehouse operation, we are seeking a detail-oriented Food & Grocery Operations Associate to help manage inventory, maintain food safety standards, and support the efficient flow of products throughout our organization.


Postion:

The Food & Grocery Operations Associate will play a critical role in overseeing inventory, ordering products, maintaining food safety compliance, and ensuring our warehouse and retail locations are stocked with the right products at the right time. This role is ideal for someone with grocery, food service, warehouse, or food distribution experience who understands food handling requirements and thrives in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Monitor inventory levels for prepared meals, ingredients, and grocery products.
  • Place and manage purchase orders with vendors and suppliers.
  • Forecast inventory needs based on sales trends and location demand.
  • Coordinate product distribution across 27 retail locations.
  • Track inventory discrepancies, shortages, and spoilage.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and storage requirements.
  • Monitor product freshness, shelf life, and rotation procedures.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments.
  • Ensure accurate inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and compliant storage areas.
  • Assist with operational process improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Work closely with store managers to ensure proper product availability.
  • Resolve inventory and ordering issues across locations.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of grocery, food service, food manufacturing, meal prep, or food distribution experience.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Experience with inventory management and purchasing.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across multiple locations.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and inventory management systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in refrigerated environments when necessary.
  • Experience in a warehouse, commissary kitchen, grocery chain, or meal prep company.
  • Multi-location inventory management experience.
  • Vendor management and purchasing experience.
