Join our team as a Planning & Logistics Specialist and play a key role in optimizing supply chain operations across a global supplier network. As a Planning & Logistics Specialist, you will drive material availability, improve supplier performance, and serve as a critical link between Product Development, Sourcing, Service, and Manufacturing teams across the U.S. and Austria. This role supports both day-to-day execution and continuous improvement initiatives within a growing, international manufacturing environment. What you'll do:
- Ensure timely material availability to support production schedules and customer demand
- Manage purchase order execution and supplier communication for assigned vendors
- Monitor supplier performance and proactively identify and mitigate supply risks
- Analyze and optimize inventory levels, safety stock, and order quantities to balance service and cost
- Develop and maintain accurate material forecasts in alignment with production and demand planning
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering, sourcing, and operations teams to improve supply chain performance
- Support the rollout of new logistics processes, tools, and workflows in collaboration with U.S. and Austria teams
- Lead supplier onboarding and training on logistics processes, expectations, and systems
- Maintain accurate ERP/MRP master data to ensure planning and execution integrity
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field
- At least 1 year of experience in supply chain, materials planning, purchasing, or logistics within a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
- Collaborative, proactive, and able to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar) and advanced Excel skills preferred
- Strong communication skills, including ability to work across global teams.
Additional Details:
- Location: Waukesha, WI
- Travel: Initial travel to Jenbach, Austria for approximately two months for onboarding and training. Following this period, ongoing travel is expected to be up to 10%.
