Technical Sourcing Recruiter

Job description

We're looking for a Technical Sourcing Recruiter who thrives in fast-paced envrionments. You'll be the engine behind our talent pipelines for some of our most technical and competitive hiring needs, including Software Engineering, AI/ML, Forward Deployed Engineering, Product Management, Design, and DevOps.
You'll partner closely with TA Partners and Hiring Managers to deeply understand roles, build proactive pipelines for evergreen and hard-to-fill positions, and bring market intelligence back to the team that shapes how we hire. If you're technical, curious about emerging technology, and already using AI as part of how you work every day, we want to talk to you.
What You'll Do
  • Build and own talent pipelines for hard-to-fill and evergreen roles across Software Engineering, AI/ML, Forward Deployed Engineering, Product Management, Design, and DevOps - before the req even opens.
  • Conduct intake calls with hiring managers to translate technical requirements into an effective sourcing strategy and ideal candidate profile.
  • Source candidates through a mix of channels - external sourcing and our internal ATS/database.
  • Help shape our Talent culture and come to the table with process improvements and strategies on building our internal brand.
  • Screen and qualify candidates, assessing both technical fit and alignment with role requirements, then submit strong, well-vetted candidates to hiring managers.
  • Partner closely with TA Partners and Hiring Managers throughout the hiring lifecycle, acting as a true extension of the recruiting team, not a transactional intake-and-deliver function.
  • Deliver market insights and talent data - compensation benchmarking, talent availability, competitor intel, and passive candidate sentiment - to inform hiring strategy and calibrate expectations.
  • Balance quality, volume, and velocity - build robust pipelines without sacrificing candidate quality or speed to submit.
  • Leverage AI tools in your daily workflow to source smarter, write better outreach, and move faster - we expect you to be an active, hands-on user of AI in sourcing, not a bystander.
  • Track and report on sourcing metrics (pipeline health, conversion rates, time-to-submit, source effectiveness) to continuously improve process and results.

What We're Looking For
  • Proven technical sourcing experience, with a strong track record recruiting for roles such as Software Engineers, AI/ML Engineers, Forward Deployed Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, and DevOps/Infrastructure Engineers.
  • Fluency in technical hiring - you can read a job description, understand the underlying tech stack or skill set, and speak credibly with both hiring managers and candidates about the role.
  • Strong sourcing toolkit: advanced Boolean/X-ray search, GitHub/Stack Overflow sourcing, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other creative sourcing channels beyond job boards.
  • Experience running intake calls and translating hiring manager needs into an actionable sourcing plan.
  • A data-driven mindset - comfortable pulling and presenting market data, talent trends, and pipeline metrics to stakeholders.
  • AI-forward - actively using AI tools to work faster and smarter, with genuine curiosity about emerging technology.
  • Excellent screening and assessment skills, able to evaluate technical candidates for both hard skills and role fit.
  • Strong stakeholder management - able to build trusted, collaborative relationships with TA Partners and Hiring Managers, and push back with data when needed.
  • High volume, high quality mentality - you don't see pipeline size and candidate quality as a trade-off; you optimize for both.

Nice to Have
  • Government contracting recruiting experience (cleared talent, GovCon-specific sourcing channels, understanding of contract vehicles/clearance requirements).
  • Experience sourcing for early-stage or fast-scaling technical teams.
  • Familiarity with Greenhouse ATS.

Logistics
  • Location: Reston, VA
  • Schedule: Hybrid - in-office Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
