In a Green Relief position, you’ll generally help with tasks such as assisting customers, managing inventory, restocking shelves, and ensuring compliance procedures are followed in a dispensary or cannabis retail environment. You may work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, interacting directly with customers and providing up-to-date product information. This role can be a good stepping stone to more specialized positions in the cannabis industry, offering valuable exposure to industry practices and compliance processes.

What is a Green Relief job?

A Green Relief job typically refers to temporary or substitute work in the cannabis industry, often covering roles such as cultivation, processing, or dispensary support. Responsibilities vary but may include plant care, packaging, customer service, or compliance tasks.

To thrive as a Green Relief (typically an entry-level or support role in the cannabis industry), you need a basic understanding of cannabis compliance, product handling, and customer service, often accompanied by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management software, and state compliance tracking tools is common in this field. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a reliable work ethic set top candidates apart. These skills ensure both regulatory adherence and a positive customer experience, which are critical for success in dispensary and cannabis retail operations.
