Position Overview:

We are seeking an accomplished Director of Quality to lead the quality assurance and control functions for our 1,000,000 sq ft modular data center manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for establishing, managing, and continuously improving quality systems and processes across engineering, fabrication, assembly, and testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modular construction or industrial manufacturing, with a proven ability to develop quality programs that ensure product reliability, compliance, and client satisfaction for mission-critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) that aligns with ISO 9001 and modular manufacturing standards.
  • Define and enforce quality objectives, metrics, and inspection criteria across all phases of design, fabrication, assembly, and testing.
  • Lead internal audits, supplier quality evaluations, and customer quality reviews to ensure compliance with industry and client requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce defects.
  • Oversee inspection and testing of manufactured modules to verify compliance with engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) programs to eliminate recurring issues.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing quality team, promoting accountability, technical excellence, and collaboration.
  • Partner with engineering and production teams to integrate quality into design reviews, process development, and new product introductions.
  • Collaborate with clients during factory acceptance testing (FAT) to ensure transparency, traceability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Report quality performance metrics to executive leadership and implement data-driven strategies for operational excellence.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality Management (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in quality leadership within manufacturing, modular construction or on-site construction environments.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ASME, AWS, and other applicable quality standards.
  • Demonstrated experience managing quality systems in large-scale facilities (1,000,000+ sq ft preferred).
  • Certifications such as ASQ CQE, Six Sigma Black Belt, or Lean Manufacturing preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to influence across departments.
