Wage - $19.20 per hour
Schedule - Full Time, 8hr shifts, Prime/Swing Shift 3:00pm-12am or Night/Graveyard 11:30pm-8:30am

MTC is proud to operate the Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center in Reno, NV where our staff provide quality services to our local youth. We value our professional and caring employees who are dedicated to improving people's lives and we want YOU to join our team!
What you will be doing: You'll be responsible for monitoring students that live on residential floors to ensure compliance with the rules and regulations of the Center. Fosters an atmosphere conducive to character development through the encouragement of favorable behavior patterns. Facilitates prompt and appropriate assistance in the event of injury, illness, traumatic experience, and emotionalism; responsible for documenting student activity and incidences.
Essential Functions:
1. Provide student with basic direction, instruction and assistance in designated area(s).
2. Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems or study habits.
3. Coordinate with career counselors and staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting student training.
4. Develop and conduct enrichment programs as assigned.
5. Participate in student employ-ability programs and activities.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • One (1) year experience working with the youth.
  • A valid driver license in the state where the facility is located with an acceptable driving record required.
