The GDW Reno is located in the central downtown gaming district and has been a local's favorite since 1977. Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Counts and balances the starting funds of the cage with the outgoing cashier at the start of the shift
  • Exchanges cash for gaming chips, tokens, or coin
  • Cashes checks for customers (travelers, personal, cash advances, or payroll) in accordance with the company check cashing policies and procedures
  • Issues markers and accepts payment on markers in accordance with the company's marker policies and procedures
  • Logs, records/reports all Title 31 transactions
  • Assists customers with the completion of credit/check cashing application
  • Records and balances all currency transactions in the computer
  • Sorts and bags loose coins and bundles paper money
  • Maintains and completes the required gaming and company forms and reports
  • Promotes positive customer service by providing correct information/directions to patrons as the need arises
  • Reconciles daily summaries of transaction and balances all currency transactions against cash on hand
  • Learns and works other banks such as the main bank, chip bank, coin vault, as they need arises
  • Verifies chip cash out over $1,000 with the pit
  • Distributes company payroll checks to employees
  • Signs up new guests with players cards and explains the players club and how their comps work

Skills, Education and Other Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Work Experience
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Must possess basic computer skills and ability to use 10-key
  • Previous cash handling experience in a casino environment required
  • Identification that establishes identity
  • Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States
  • Nevada Gaming License
