Synertex is seeking a Graphics Designer to work with a Government Intelligence Community client in Bethesda, MD or McLean, VA.

Responsibilities:
  • Develops graphics, digital media, cartography, and other multimedia products.
  • Utilizes request management tools to provide swift, high quality customer support for communication requests.
  • Coordinates with UI/UX designer in Knowledge Management, to ensure graphics products provide an engaging and user friendly experience.
  • Creates graphic designs for a variety of written and digital products.
  • Develops design concepts and implements designs for new web pages, mobile applications, newsletters, ads, infographics, banners, illustrations, logos, and other types of digital content that will be presented online.
  • Ensures products conform to all production standards, copywrite laws, accessibility compliance requirements, public release clearances.
  • Conducts technical quality checks.
  • Manages an approved concept and build in HTML/CSS so it complies with responsive design principles.
  • Provides Cartography support, as needed, to design thematic and reference maps.

Requirements
  • Requires BA/BS and 3+ years of experience or no degree and 9 years of experience.
  • Experience with the following:
    • Leading the development of graphics, digital media, cartography, and other multimedia products
    • Mentoring and trains junior staff.
    • Creating graphics products that provide an engaging and user friendly experience.
    • Creating graphic designs for a variety of written and digital products.
    • Developing design concepts and implements designs for new web pages, mobile applications, newsletters, ads, infographics, banners, illustrations, logos, and other types of digital content presented online.
    • Ensuring products conform to all production standards, copywrite laws, accessibility compliance requirements, public release clearances.
    • Conducting technical quality checks.
