Job description

Graphic Designer & Print Shop Manager
Are you interested in joining a growing company that is fundamentally changing the energy landscape in the US? SunEnergy1 is a top 5 ranked solar developer that is building some of the largest solar projects within the US. We're looking for passionate, hard-working individuals to join our growing team.
The Graphic Designer is responsible for conceptualization through to implementation of design solutions to support both the solar and auto racing divisions of our business. The work may include a variety designs for websites, advertisements, display ads, auto racing vehicle wraps, construction signage, through to corporate identity, etc.
This position works closely with entire marketing team and company executives. The ideal candidate should have experience designing various types of materials, is self-motivated, and brings a creative mindset to all aspects of the role.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepares initial designs by studying available information and materials.
  • Illustrates concept by designing preliminary layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts as it relates to the specific brand compliance.
  • Obtains approval of concept by submitting initial layout for approval.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Concepts, designs, develops, and executes multimedia marketing and image campaigns to effectively create, extend, and communicate the SunEnergy1 brand
  • Demonstrates strong layout and design skills, great attention to detail, accuracy, creativity, self-motivation and the ability to work on strict deadlines, even under pressure.
  • Works with team to ensure brand standards are being followed across all media and print related items.
  • Demonstrates ability to conceptualize design ideas from creation to execution
  • Uses Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, MS Office and other appropriate mediums to produce creative and innovative graphic designs. Experience with video editing software is a plus.
  • Background in web design, and/or web programming and fundamental understanding of various web technologies.
  • Interact, communicate and present ideas effectively
  • Demonstrates proficiency in all design aspects.
  • Demonstrates professionalism regarding time, costs and deadlines.
  • Stays up to date with industry leading software and technologies (In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop etc. Web design).
  • Large volume of projects with quick turnaround and deadlines
  • May require flexible scheduling of schedule from time to time based on work load and demand.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing or related discipline
  • Extensive experience with Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, specifically with mockups, web design and multimedia presentation
  • 4+ years in professional commercial design, preferably with a marketing or creative agency
  • Adaptive design eye and skill
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and clients
