Job description

As a Manager, Broadcast Motion Design, you will be responsible for managing MLS Productions
broadcast graphics projects for MLS, MLS NEXT Pro, and MLS NEXT broadcast. As well as creating
headshots and other static images to support broadcast graphics operations. The Manager, Broadcast Motion Design must be comfortable designing for streaming broadcasts and be familiar with all aspects of broadcast design and production processes. Finally, the position must help with matchday operations.


  • Primary designer of motion graphics solutions for match broadcasts and studio shows
  • Managing and creating headshots and other static images for broadcast graphics packages.
  • Offering new ideas and designs for broadcast graphics packages.
  • Attending meetings to review and discuss broadcast graphics with MLS partners and MLS staff.
  • Assist with matchday broadcast graphics operations on midweek evenings and weekends.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Help art direct virtual studio designs.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of experience as a generalist producing high-end 2D and 3D motion graphics design

Required Skills

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Proficient with VizRT Artist
  • Familiar with VizRT Arena
  • Proficient with motion design, typography, color theory, illustration, photography, and layout
  • High attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • High-level of commitment to a quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and
    compliance
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
